How pricing and payments work

Pricing for bookings made through Find My Man and Van is calculated and managed by the platform. You see one clear move price based on the details provided at the time of booking.

Drivers do not set prices, provide quotes, or negotiate payments directly with customers. Pricing, booking and payment handling are managed centrally through the platform.

How your move price is calculated

Your move price is calculated using the information you provide when booking. This includes:

  • The number of hours booked
  • The number of movers required
  • The van size selected

Pricing is based on your move requirements, with clear, upfront pricing shown before you confirm your booking. There are no hidden platform fees. Any additional time or work beyond your confirmed booking is charged at the hourly rate displayed at checkout.

Why you see one price

Instead of receiving multiple quotes, the platform calculates a single move price that reflects your booking details.

This price is calculated using our network of vetted and approved Drivers, ensuring the booking is suitable for the move requirements provided.

Reservation Fee and payments

When you book, a Reservation Fee is paid to secure your move and allocate a Driver for your selected Move Time.

Once a Driver has been allocated, the Reservation Fee becomes non-refundable. It may be transferred once if requested at least 48 hours before the scheduled Move Time.

The remaining balance is paid directly to the Driver on the day of the move in accordance with your confirmed booking.

The platform sets the move price in advance. Drivers collect the remaining balance but do not set prices or renegotiate costs during the move.

Some moves may involve external costs such as parking fees, tolls, or clean air zone charges. These are not included in the move price and are payable separately where applicable.

If your move changes or takes longer

Your booking includes a set number of hours. If a move takes longer than planned, any additional time is charged at the hourly rate displayed at checkout.

Prices are not renegotiated during the move.

If items are not listed accurately at the time of booking, additional time may be required to complete the move. Any extra time is charged at the same agreed rate.

Who is responsible for what

FMMV is responsible for pricing, booking administration and driver allocation. The allocated Driver is responsible for carrying out the transport service.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking details and ensuring safe and lawful access.
