We booked a van for Monday 13032023...
We booked a van for Monday 13032023 it turned up on time which was great. We booked a van for 1 helper to load and unload me and my partner helped him are end which took only 1520 minutes. Id booked for 1 hour load and unload which was plenty as we only had clothing,tvs,dog cages ,kitchen equipment etc no furniture Id listed items on a list before him coming. Once we had packed he started saying there was a lot more Items here than on the list originally the company will ask for more money So he took another 30 off us which I think its disgusting the van was plenty big enough, Id listed items that were boxed and unboxed on the list yes I didnt list exactly how many bags of clothes and tools we had but we loaded and unloaded in the time frame easily

Driver excellent terms conditions not
The driver who carried out the job was excellent he contacted me as soon as he had the job and agreed that the time was ok. On the day unfortunately he got held up in traffic and arrived about 1 hour late but he kept in touch all the way. 100 for driver. What I was concerned with is the terms and conditions as far as traffic holdups in my experience which was many years linked to transport I have never come across the customer being penalised for the vehicle stuck in traffic especially at 18 per half hour if the job overruns the agreed time. This did not happen to me the holdup was prior to the driver arriving but had he been held up on the way with the delivery I could have been charged for going over the total contract time.Traffic holdups are transport problems not customer.
